Building Consent Applications

Some renovations involve work that requires Building Consent, while other tasks may only need to be carried out by Registered Building Practitioners.
At STUDIO42, we assess whether any current Building and District Plan regulations apply to your project.
We handle the necessary Building Consent on your behalf before any work begins and secure the Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) upon completion.
Our goal is to ensure your renovation is fully approved by the Council and complies with all current Building Regulations.

Estabishing if your renovation work requires Building Consent
Building Consents for Minor Residential alteration within your building envelope - Kitchen/Bathroom/Laundry.
Submitting and securing Building Consent applications.
Submitting and securing Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) applications.
Responding to all council inquires until the applications are fully approved.

You are required by Law to apply for a CCC.
A CCC is an official document confirming that your renovations meet the Building Code requirements and that the Council has verified all building work was completed in accordance with the approved Building Consent.
You might be required to provide a copy of the Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) when finalising a sale and purchase agreement, or when applying for home insurance.
